Happy Holidays!!
Many weeks have passed and so much has been done! For example,
- I finished all the programming!!
- The entire game is playable!
- Everything is working (e.g. the server, client, emails, dialogs, options, music, sounds, building, packaging — everything!)
However, there are still a few more things to do before I can publicly release it. Primarily, I need to create some videos for the first lesson and update my website to accommodate the game.
For the first lesson, I plan on keeping it very simple until I get some valuable feedback from you (e.g. what works and what doesn’t.) Who knows, this whole idea might be a disaster!
But even if it’s a disaster, I’m OK with that. Making mistakes are a part of life!
So, have you ever been in a similar situation? A situation where you are afraid to take action because you might fail?
If that sounds like you then STOP!
First of all, there’s no way you can fail. Sure, you might make a mistake here or there, but complete and total failure? Impossible!
The fact that you started something and finished it is a testimony in itself. Regardless of the outcome, you’ve proven yourself and learned a lot in the process. If those two don’t count as successes, then what does?
So, take pride in your work and accomplishments! If you think you’ve made a mistake, don’t worry! Learn the most from it and make your next work great!
Hopefully, this endeavor will serve as an inspiration to those who are afraid of starting something! There’s no need to be afraid. You can’t fail, but only succeed.
